Installing a TentBox roof tent to the rear cab/bed of your truck
If you have a truck, you may want to install your TentBox to the rear cab/bed, instead of on the front cab/roof. This is definitely possible, however, there are a few things you need to consider to ensure it is safe.
TentBox Ltd does not accept any liability if you have installed your TentBox on the bed of your truck. This is considered a customisation.
Important Safety Measures
Some rear cabs are made of fibreglass or cheap plastic. They aren't designed to hold the weight of a TentBox safely, and you should thoroughly check your manual to determine the material it is built from.
If the bed of your truck has a steel frame, it's more likely to be suitable for installing a TentBox. Again, you can check this information in your vehicle's manual, or contact your vehicle dealership.
You need to research the weight limit of the bed/cab you wish to install your TentBox on.
TentBox Ltd will not be able to provide this information for you, and we suggest you get in contact with a professional for advice. The weight limit will need to be at least as much as the TentBox you plan to install.
