Dynamic vs. Static Loads

Your crossbar static load limit is at least 5 times the dynamic load limit quoted by the manufacturer.

A dynamic load refers to the maximum weight allowed whilst your vehicle is moving, and the static load is when your vehicle is stationary.

When considering the added weight of people inside the TentBox, you should use the static load limit of your vehicle. You can work this out by multiplying the dynamic load (listed in your vehicle handbook) by 5.
